This epoch making event is a well deserved recognition of your government’s unwavering commitment to rebrand the country and to global peace and security. It is not only a win but an emphatic statement of the global confidence in your stewardship of our beloved country.

Your Excellency, from every indication, Sierra Leone has proven to be a responsible and respected member of the International community and I am confident that this country under your capable hands will continue to play an important role in promoting peace, security and stability on the global stage.

I wish to express my profound gratitude and appreciation to His Majesty, Mohamed VI and the friendly people of the Kingdom of Morocco as well as all friendly countries for their valuable support to the Republic of Sierra Leone in the fight to achieve this momentous victory.

The Embassy of Sierra Leone in Rabat wishes you and the People of Sierra Leone success as you assume this important responsibility. I am confident that under your astute and visionary leadership, Sierra Leone will make a significant contribution to the work of the Security council as well as help to improve and advance the course of peace, security and prosperity through increased representation of the African perspective; advance African priorities; strengthen collaboration and cooperation of the UN in Africa; increased attention to Sierra Leone’s development challenges and positively impact the African continent with a renewed voice. There can hardly be a better opportunity to canvass and advocate the common African position on the reformation of the U.N Security Council than now.

  1. Today, I went to the beach with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter
    and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the
    shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab
    inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back!
    LoL I know this is totally off topic but I had to tell someone!
